About Carlos
Carlos Pacheco Perujo was born on November 14, 1960 in San Roque, Cádiz (Spain). He was a renowned Spanish comic book artist, known for his work with important publishers such as Marvel and DC Comics.
He is considered the most prestigious Spanish artist ever to work for the American comics industry, achieving popularity for his drawings on works such as Avengers Forever, X-Men, Justice League, Fantastic Four, etc. Outside of the corporate-owned comics industry, he reunited in 2003 with his friend and writer, Kurt Busiek, to produce their own fantasy series, Arrowsmith, which reimagines World War I in a world where magic and dragons exist.
It received an Eisner Award nomination for Best Limited Series. Carlos Pacheco Perujo received the Spanish Gold Medal for Fine Arts after passing away in 2022 from ALS.
